1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website or use an application. Equivalent technologies (browser local storage, localStorage, pixels) are covered by this policy.
2. Cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Consent |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Authentication, session persistence, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, display preferences | Not required |
| Payment | Secure payment processing and fraud detection by Stripe | Not required (necessary to perform the contract) |
| Technical monitoring | Error and performance anomaly detection (Sentry) | Required where not strictly necessary |
| Audience measurement | Microsoft Clarity — traffic statistics, heatmaps and session replay, so we can see how the site is used | Not requested — Clarity runs on every visit |
| Advertising | Advertising attribution (Meta Pixel, Conversions API, Google Analytics) | Required — none of these are active today; if we switch one on it will be set only after your consent |
We set no advertising cookies at all today. Microsoft Clarity, our audience-measurement tool, is loaded on every visit without asking, so that we can measure and improve the site — we would rather tell you that plainly than show you a switch that changes nothing.
3. Your choice
On your first visit a banner tells you that Microsoft Clarity is running. It is a notice, not a choice: it has a single button, because measurement is on for every visitor and a "reject" button that changed nothing would be dishonest.
If we later switch advertising trackers back on, that banner becomes a real consent request with a genuine reject option, and nothing is set until you accept.
You may also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents the service from working (you will not be able to log in).
4. Retention
Consent and analytics cookies are kept for a maximum of 13 months. Session cookies expire when the browser is closed or when the authentication session expires.
